haberdashery delights.  You had to have seen his last cap with the front brim frayed and the plastic insert popping  through...then again with some of the ripped and frayed denim that is sold nowadays.  Maybe Ron is ahead of his time!

East Aurora's Sean Phillips certainly wasn't faster than a speeding bullet at the Checkers/Runner's Roost Runner of the Week Meet at Elma Meadows but he proved that he could leap tall finish lines in a single boundGreat day for all ROTW nominees and congrats to all Section VI XC teams for a great 2011 XC season!   Click image to enlarge.

#9 - Week ending November 6, 2011
Jamestown coach (and frequent Section6Runs target), Steve Sipior and one of his Disney buddies heading back to Jamestown after the Section VI XC State Qualifiers.  Steve was asked to measure the distance between the finish line and his front door.  Asked why, Steve replied, "I'm always up for a challenge."  Last sighting had him outside of Cherry Creek, NY.

#8 - Week ending October 30, 2011
Lewiston-Porter sophomore, Hannah Cupples, sports the fashion of the day at the Niagara Frontier League XC Championships held at Beaver Island State Park.  When asked about wearing so much mud, Hannah replied, "Hey, in some spas you'd pay $100 for a treatment like this!"

Grand Island Sophomore, Nick Pino, promoting the Section6Runs web site by sprouting the Section6Runs wings out of his head.  Asked about it, Nick stated, "With all the pictures Mr Wende takes of me and my Grand Island teammates, it was the least I could do!"

Unidentified Will North runner soaked to the bone at the Alden Bulldog Stampede during the Girl's JV race.  Weather conditions were deplorable and most runners protected themselves from the elements wearing warmups and other cold weather gear.
