Jason Zayac
Royalton-Hartland
Class of 2008

What do you enjoy about running?
I enjoy getting together with other runners in the area, like Donald Truesdell, Aaron Foote,
Chris Lantinen, Gary Lantinen, and Tom Reubens, to run or just have a good time. Running
gives me a chance to clear my mind and relieve stress!

What has been the highlight in your running career thus far?
Winning the 3000 meter steeplechase at the 2007 Outdoor Sectionals

What is your favorite running or field event? 3200 Meter Run

What is your favorite food? ICE CREAM!

What is one of your favorite movies? Rudy

Who is your role model and why? My Mom, because she comes to all of my meets to
support me, and she sacrifices a lot to make sure I have the greatest opportunity possible
to achieve my goals and dreams.

Also, Gary Lantinen, because he has a lot of knowledge to give, which he does share with me during long runs. He also stresses
how important it is for running to be fun and that you shouldn’t take it too seriously; which is a good philosophy to follow.

What do you do to relax? Chill with friends or just kick back and listen to some music.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years? In 20 years, I see myself settling down with a “fly honey”, and hopefully having
fun in whatever occupation I decide to pursue. Also, I hope to still be running and I would like to pass down what knowledge
I have about running to my kids, or other young runners.
