What do you enjoy about your event?
It is not too often that you come across competition with hurdles and when you do it is something to watch. Also someone usually can’t just be put into hurdles and expect to do well. Hurdlers have to be groomed over years.
What has been the highlight of your jumping career thus far? Either making sectionals as a 9th grader or breaking the school record in my sophomore year
What is your favorite event? 110 Hurdles by far but my coaches would prefer it be the 400s
What thoughts run through your head while competing?
All positive things. Think why I should win the race because of my preparation, off season training, summer track camps.
What is your favorite food? Pretzels with Peanut butter
What is one of your favorite movies? "Zoolander"
What would be your ideal vacation? Camping in the Adirondacks with no electricity (aka. distractions)
Who is your role model and why? Coach Bartha. He’s been around for many, many, years and I respect him for keeping the job this long and putting up with high school kids all this time. He is full of knowledge and whenever you think you have everything perfect he has at least one way that you can make yourself even better.
What do you do to relax? Watch movies, do random things outside with friends, and in the winter I love to snowboard
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Hopefully teaching Earth Science at a nearby, if not my own, high school and passing on my track smarts to kids as the boys track coach.
