What do you enjoy about coaching?
I enjoy watching my runners challenge themselves to run better and achieve their goals.  I enjoy training them, working with them on a daily basis and joining them in some of the workouts.

What has been the highlight in your running career thus far? Posting a 12-2 divisional record in ECIC I this year, my first year as head coach.

How do you approach preparing the student-athletes for their events?
I emphasize that they think positive and trust in their training.  I simplify the race as a hard workout in which they will run less than half the amount of time they normally would for a normal practice.

What is your favorite running or field event? 5K race

What is your favorite food? Steak

What is one of your favorite movies? Major League

Who is your role model and why?
In running, it was the late Mickey Walter, my former high school cross country coach at Lancaster.  I really liked his approach with running and he always believed in me.  When I have to make a decision about running, I often think of him and wonder what he would have done as coach.

What do you do to relax? Play with my daughter or go for a nice long run

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
Coaching cross country, getting ready for my daughter to graduate college and still running!!
