Checkers Athletic Club	The mission of the Checkers Athletic Club is to encourage and support individuals participating in the sport of running by: recruitment and development of high school and college runners; providing track training for runners of varied abilities; sponsoring a yearly race and other race related events as appropriate; sponsoring a yearly high school invitational cross country race; fostering the cohesiveness of club members through various social activities.
