vault at the 34th Carl Roesch Memorial Track Classic. The “Today the =

was all over the place,” said Pericozzi, who leads Pericozzi’s
record highlighted a big day for the Redskins, who won the team title by a
22-point margin. The event attracted 23 teams. Runner-up Clarence and Aqui=
nas
tied for third place with 54 points, but Clarence won the tiebreaker havi=
ng
scored in nine events compared to seven for the Section V visitors. John
Inzina won the 1,600 for Clarence. Aquinas did have =
the
meet MVP, junior B. J. Murray, the meet’s only double winner taking=
the
100 and long jump. Murray was presented the trophy by the great-grandchil=
den
of Carl Roesch — Madison Omar, 9, and Jason Omar, 8, along with ret=

“So I just relaxed, stayed smooth. I was kind of shocked at my time. I
was just happy that I won. The competition — that’s what helped
drive me to run that 21.7.”
